SFB 607 has completed its first funding term, a three-year research period, in 2001 and presently pursues research during the second funding period. During both funding terms, SFB-symposia were held in 2001 and 2003 on 'Mechanisms of Growth, Competition and Stress Defense in Plants', searching for the scientific feedback by invited, internationally renowned keynote speakers, and offering an opportunity for presenting surveys on the achieved scientific progress within SFB 607.
