Part 2: Development of specific PCR primers and fluorogenic probes
Specific primers for different Phytophthora root rot pathogens of beech and oak were designed using sequence data of the internal transcribed spacer region (ITS) of the rRNA gene complex or of species specific RAPD fragments. Results are summarised in the publication SCHUBERT et al. (1999). Primers for Glomus mossae were designed on sequence data of the 28S rRNA and for Phytophthora infestans using the repetitive nuclear sequence. All primers and fluorogenic probes are summarised in table 1.
